We aim at carrying state-of-the-art machine learning research in computer vision, video data processing, self-driving vehicle (SDV) and creating optimized neural algorithms for Huawei Ascend platform.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Analyze industry/academia trends and identify the competitiveness of the Video intelligence technology market and Huawei’s market offerings
• Become a leading researcher in the R&D team, define the roadmap of research targets, bridge the gap between research achievements and industrial products
• Be responsible for research projects within the Video Intelligence portfolio, completing core technology construction in the Video Intelligence scope
• Build cooperation with European universities, research institutes and industrial partners
• Represent Huawei within the broader industry, attending and participating at international meetings and conferences
Requirements:
Strong research background and relative industrial experience
• Have experience in Video data extraction and analytics technologies. Object detection and tracking, classification, Data Augmentation, abnormal event detection, multi-modality fusion is preferred
• Experience in any module of SDV stack is highly preferred (perception, prediction, planning)
• Be familiar with deep learning architecture and open source frameworks. Domain adaptation, transfer learning, zero, one or few-shot learning, network compression
• Experience in fast and efficient hardware accelerated approximate nearest neighbor system for data retrieval project
• Experience in the methods of acceleration of Neural Networks both for training (e.g. improved optimization algorithms) and inference (e.g. pruning, tensor decompositions) on the hardware
• Masters or higher degree in computer vision, image processing, deep learning/machine learning or significant relevant industry experience
• Strong mathematical education in probability theory, linear algebra, statistics and relevant Math fields
• Good knowledge of python and mathematical libraries. Knowledge of C++ is a big plus
• PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred
• 3+ years of industry experience in (one or multiple areas) Computer Vision, Machine Learning/Deep Learning, and Data Science as well as experience in applying academic studies to industrial applications is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Video data analytics and processing is preferred
